iBaila is built to know as little about you as possible. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking, in the app or on this website.

The app

iBaila runs on your Mac. It listens to the sound your music apps play only to move the light. That sound is analyzed in memory as it plays. It is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere, and iBaila never uses your microphone.

It reads the song that is playing (title, artist, album and artwork) from Apple Music to pick colors and show the player. To find lyrics, artwork, album lists, search results and moving artwork, it sends the song's title and artist to public music services, such as Apple's catalog and LRCLIB. Nothing that identifies you is sent with them.

Your settings and a short list of recently played songs stay on your Mac.

Buying iBaila

Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes your name, email address, payment details and billing address to complete the order, send your license key and meet tax rules. We see your email address and your order, never your full card details. Polar's own privacy policy applies to the checkout.

When you activate your license, the key is checked with Polar.

This website

This site sets no cookies and loads no trackers. The music in the demo player is generated in your browser; nothing is streamed or recorded.
